Loud knoking noise from engine

Ive got a loud knoking noise cuming from my engine in my vy ss ute ive pulled of the injector plugs thinking it had spun a bearing but no change of sound in the knoking noise has anyone had this problem and wat was it

Could be a flex plate, could be a lifter, could be lots of things.
