Hi there. I was hoping someone can help me with a reversing sensor on my series III which has been pushed in a bit but still works. I can't easily see how I can get my hands on it? Is it from inside the boot or from under the bumper??? It's the second sensor from the right when looking at the rear of the car. :bawl:
Cheers in anticipation :)

You should be able to get to it from underneath the car, under the rear bumper.

cheers

Thanks Macca33,
I assume when I do get my fat fingers on the sensor, it's just a simple case of pushing back into position?

I had one of my fronts pushed in by a lazy mechanic, just pushed it back out. It required some force as I recall, but not a lot else to it.

Mate, I would assume so, the ones I've looked at are a two-piece type thing - one part, the mounting fixture is permanently fixed (glued?) to the bumper and the centre (sensor) can push out, if it has to be replaced.

you wont get it from underneath there is just no room (Im doing it a the moment)
take the rear bar off, its only 4 10mm nuts and about half dozen screws holding it together.

once off have a look at the damage, you should be able to just clip it back in, if not gluing the mounting point will solve your issue

A big of liquid nails helped 3 of my sensors stay in on the Calais V.
Could just reach it from under the rear bar without taking it off
