Hi all. Have had our Lancer listed on here, Carsales and local ads for over a month now. Haven't had much interest in it. What would you pay/what's it worth? I think it's priced well given it's age, condition and mileage.

2003, 1.8l 5 Speed Manual, alloys, A/C, Power steering, 57,000km. Service books, one owner etc.

Wondering if I am still asking too much or is the market just slow?Feedback would be much appreciated.

Regards,
Hos

what are you asking for it mate? I bought an 06 lancer about 2 months ago for the wife with 65,000km for $7500... I probably could have pushed for 7k flat, but it was a decent deal, and didn't want to muck around. They were asking 8k...

I know it is not a Lancer but a similar thing, I sold my daughter-in-laws 2003 Toyota Echo 4 door sedan, 57,000 km for $9300 about 3 weeks ago, she had it on Carsales for about 3 weeks, started out at $10,500, got quite a few offers around the $8500 mark and it finally sold for $9300.

I think you are asking about the correct money for an average one, by carsales, but are they selling or are they the same cars that have been there months?
Coupes are not worth as much as a sedan, as you probably already know. Also not to be rude the yellow is not the prettiest color on the model, this will effect its value. I would also look at the sign writing on the windows, it's not doing the car any justice. Maybe clean it off and do it a bit neater/smaller. Finally get some pics with a nice back drop that will make the car look nicer/ work with the color and get some buyers out to look at it, and possibly drop $100 to get it in the 6 bracket rather than being a 7. It sounds cheaper. :goodjob:

Hos, I think it is on the money given that I spoke to you about the car for my niece. I thought it was relatively good value and was trying to steer her to your car....until her's was found 2 suburbs away some 3 weeks after being stolen!!

It doesn't sound like a sellers market unfortunately
