HDT help

Hi guys,
I know this may not be the right place to ask, but I'm hoping someone might be able to help me out with something.
Were there ever any 6-cyl VKs made by HDT?

I believe there was only 1 made, I think there was a tie up with a magazine

Yeah, there was a 6 cyl HDT "Project Car"....it was based on an EFI 6 cyl. VK Berlina.
The car still exists......but as far as PERFORMANCE is concerned, it NEVER amounted to anything, because the V8 was always a better proposition, as far as "improved performance" was concerned.
It was always a "part time project" as far as HDT was concerned, because they always had more important projects to attend to.

I'm guessing someone is trying to palm off their 6cyl VK as a genuine HDT

If you havent got it yet there was only ever 1 built and no there was no parts ,managing director,spare parts or stock car (or whatever made up name might have been given)

If someone is I'd love to see their proof

Thanks so much for your help.
I knew HDT never put one into production, but I was wondering whether they did any one off projects like the one you have mentioned.
The reason for my question is that I have a VK SL at home with a whole bundle of HDT options. Then when my big bro did in the 202 a few years back and we pulled it apart to have a look what he'd done, we discovered it had been bored.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not by any means suggesting it is a HDT lol. I was just intrigued to see why anyone would bother with it back then. Costly exercise for an SL, I'm sure.
The old guy we got it off way back when said it was stock from the factory. Not that I'm complaining, super mix of goodies to pass on to the next project or keep when she gets a make over one day.

Apart from the Modern Motor car, "Project Berlina", there is at least one other VK 6cyl HDT.
