last night whilst I was driving the GTO
I got the following issues:
1) Beeps-ABS Fault light came on.
2) The SRS Fault light came on.
3) Performance Safety Mode message was
4) all the cluster instruments stopped functioning-tachos etc, fuel,
5) the car was limp driving
After parking it.
It won't start --I have called NRMA
but can one please offer any suggestions...

Is it cranking over and not starting or completely dead?

Mine carried on like that just before the alternator died, all fault lights dead instruments etc...

I'd be checking the battery and perhaps just as importantly the alternator output voltage.

dead battery and alternator issue? volts low limp mode then not enough current to turn starter (your click noise)
hopefully easy fix for you, good luck

Once NRMA get there they will be able to check it. Basically jump start it and check with a meter that it is giving back around 14v

Mate, I went through the same things just a couple of weeks ago. It ended up being a faulty relay - that was stopping the alternator from charging the battery. As a result, the car was just running on whatever charge the battery had..... New relay cost was just under $40- & all good now.

your main problem will be the altenator. thats has failed but the car has continued until the battery has gone flat. Once running you can run the car on the altenator only............ change that and charge your battery and youll be ok i think

thanks everyone -
I am replacing the alternator
Thanks Peter B, we looked at the wiring too, but the alternator is not charging the battery so it needs to be replaced.
thanks

No worries mate, you might not need a whole new alternator - it may only be a faulty regulator. I'm sure any reputable sparkie will have you going again in quick time. Let us know what the fix is/was.
