Hi all,

Well after driving a fairly worked Falcon XR6 Turbo for the last 5 years I am leaning towards jumping ship a buying a new 2012 SSV Ute Redline Edition. The Falcon has been a fun car but time to settle down a bit...it was very sad to see it drive away. Looking at the Ford ute, it just does nothing for me plus its too expensive for the base GS ute and the rediculous rear wheel arches just stick out way toooo much!!!!

So it only really leaves the SSV Redline in manual of course, I was not too crash hot on the current model but the latest version ticks all my boxes with the FE3 suspension, nicer wheels and great looking interior, much better than the VE1 in my opinion.

I am actually really looking forward to getting it!!!

Whilst this will be my daily I will be doing some track days which is why I want the redline, can I ask other owners if the Brembos are up to the task or should I replace them after a few track runs with some better gear?

Also has any one got any pics of the new blue colour "perfect blue", it looks a bit weird on the website, and if I don't like it I am really not sure what colour to go....

Cheers and I will upload some pics when I decide what colour and place the order after some price hunting!

with track pads and slotted rotors they will be more than fine for what most people classify track days (light-moderate)
if youre really serious and doing heavy track work though Id consider upgrading, but give them a go first and decide at the time, not before!

If you want to see the new colours, go to the Holden website, you can view your colours. Perfect Blue was available a while ago and if you look on carsales, put in the key word Perfect Blue and say VE to narrow the search, and you should see some of the cars produced a while ago.
Try this link to Holden.

with the FE3 suspension

Never mind, I thought FE3 was sedan only.

Enjoy!!!
