As we have a Focus RS (1 of 315 in Aus), I'm on a few of the Focus forums, including those in the U.K.
I was reading of the "description" of one Focus RS owner, who was overtaken by a "flying" Golf R on an autobahn. The Focus driver said it took him about 10 miles (16K!) to catch him, during which, for most of the time, he was sitting at around One hundred & sixty five MILES PER HOUR (260+Ks!).
Don't know whether I'd ever do those speeds, or for that length of time, but it'd certainly be nice to "stretch the legs", a bit more than we're allowed to in the "Nanny State".

Its a pity they have put a limit on the roads in NT, but then well they probably are not up to Autobarn conditions and doing 300KPH is most likely tempting death...:1peek:

Martin, That's where you're wrong mate.....Do some research.....you'll find plenty of RS's doing those sorts of speeds.....whether you believe it..or not.

Funny you should mention, I just got back from Germany and drove a hire car on the autobahn. I pushed the little 2L to around 180 but was very easily being overtaken by the audi's and BMWs.

The german's really know how to drive. You can only overtake on the left and people always move out of the way if you're coming up from behind at a faster speed. Makes me sad we can't have something like this in Australia.

The whole time i was thinking, "it would be amazing to bring the Senator over here...."
