Has anybody else had this issue;

I had a HD2 and Iphone4 paired to the IQ. I updated the HD2 to a SGS2 and paired that to the car as well.

When updating the address book I forgot and started the car, thus resetting the IQ.

Now when I scroll through the complete list (only about 130), randomly some names aren't present where you'd expect...they appear at the end as a string of characters like 02=02=02=02=02=02 or SC-01-SC=02=02=SC or soemthing like that.

There are probably about 20 of them!! These are real contacts with numbers under them, but the name is screwed up!

I tried unpairing and deleting the phone from bluetooth. Re-paired and it updated and displayed the same thing!

How the hell can I reset it and fix the names??

I haven't noticed a pattern of the contacts that it's screwed up. I thought it may be the facebook or the activesync stuff that is in the notes section of the outlook contact (which I sync to my SGS2), that perhaps the HD2 put there but haven't fully figured it out yet.

Yeah IQ update was done when it came out brasher.

I have been out of the state for 2 months without the car so haven't had a chance to take it to Holden yet for a look, but should be able to this week.

Was just wondering if anyone else has had the issue and how it got resolved? I assume a complete IQ flash would wipe it and I could attempt pairing again, this time waiting the 2-3 minutes until its transferred all contacts correctly...perhaps they could fix the audio that went to shiz with the last update while they are at it!

I'd suggest disconnecting the battery for a minute before running off to the dealer.

OK, no worries planetdavo, will try this when i get home tonight.

Should I unpair the galaxy first or just yank the + from the battery in the boot? Haven't pulled the battery before, assume i'll need to add radio code or whatever?

Cheers,

Jeff.

ok...I had a little time to do some testing and it appears that the IQ doesn't like stuff in the "Notes" field. I use the "Notes" field in Outlook to add family data and relevant info etc.

If you remove the details in the "Notes" field and refresh the phonebook on the IQ, the contact comes back...but wait...theres more...I also found that if I had Facebook, Google & Phone all "joined", although the name would display in the IQ, I could select it or numbers under it! Delete the Joined Facebook account and all good...hmmm

sorry to dig up an old thread but Ive just left the the Apple 'club' and changed to a S3.

This moring when I got in the car, and tried to go to the phonebook I go this error

When I got to work, I tried a few things like turning off the car etc and leaving it and turning back on. It finally came good but can anybody suggest why it might have done this to start with. Also, when it first populates the address book, it puts some random names on page 1 and then when you scroll through to the next page and go back, it goes back to alphabetical order....
