Hey Everyone.
my WH caprice got defected couple of weeks back now for being to low.
have changed my suspension and OTR back to standard. as well as all the other little stuff i had to do.
my question is has anyone had any problems getting passed with a manual change over? or no of any problems that i will have with the car as it is?
and also my O2 sensor dont work. they are not plugged in atm, while they are plugged in the car runs rough and gets to 2500rpm and starts missing and gets really sluggish?
this is my second set of new sensors aswell, i have had a mechanic put it on the diagnostic tool and no errors came up and they told me they were working fine, any suggestions regarding this would be appreciated.
Thanks Ben

I reckon you will have more problems with a mafless tune than you will with a properly done 6 speed manual
conversion but phone Regency Park on monday and double check..
I reckon bolt on a stock air box etc.

Ben, sorry to state the obvious but I reckon I would go and ask another mechanic or tuner.
Regardless of the defect, I would want O2 sensors working.

Did you just get defected for suspension height or the OTR mafless etc as well?
Did the Police say anything about the 6 speed manual conversion?

When you ring up just make a general enquiry about IF you fitted a 6 speed manual to a car would it be defectable?
I can't see why it would be a problem apart from tuning and emissions, because you would need to alter the tuning settings on your Caprice computer.
You could not just change over the gearbox and not alter the tune.

Na only got done for ride height.
Yea I didn't change the tune when I done it. It worked on the computer that I had in there. I was also giving a computer from a manual vx that I put in after because of the rough idle and that had a mafless tune on it. So the car has not been tuned properly yet. Have been lookin at gettin it tuned tho.
Cops didn't say anythin bout the manual tho or the otr cos they only looked at the height of the car.
Is there a tuner that u recommend taking it to in sa? Or is willall at Gillman the best place to take it?

Yeah I have heard that "Willall" is good.
Never heard a single bad thing said about them, unlike some other tuners in South Australia.
