Farm Finds

Whilst in Outback QLD yesterday I was supprised to see a couple of Farm finds on the way from the airstrip to the Town.
First was a yellow XC GS 4.9 V8 panel van in a paddock. Missing its doors. next to it was a Fairmont XC V8. Could not get a close look at these two.

Further along under a shed was a complete and very straight original 1970 Ford Fairmont V8. Covered in thick dust and flat tyres. Perfect for someone wanting a straight rust free body as a donar or to keep as a Fairmont.

Pitty it wasn't a GTHO!

Its amazing what people have been storing all these years.

A friend of ours always parks their car outside and we couldn't figure out why when they have a nice shed to park in. When we asked they said "na I can't the shed is full with the old girl parked in there" Old girl?

Turns out they have a non-import Ford Landau rolling shell sitting in the garage. Was fully restored 15 years ago with perfect bodywork and painted in factory purple. Paint is still pristine as they have had it under car covers protected since they blew the motor in it.

Can't believe they have never bothered to get it back to working form. :confused:
