HI Sixlta,

My 2007 VE Calais did this on friday just gone. Couldn't figure out what the problem was as the car wouldn't lock, the alarm kept chirping and then went off if the car did lock.

I left it in my garage over the wekeend (open) as flew over to Melbourne. Got back yesterday, battery flat. Put the charger on it and started it up and the door light is no longer on. It appears the dead battery has reset what ever the issue may have been however I'm dropping it off this morning at the dealer for a check. see what happens.

Had a interesting advancement to the origanL problem today, my drivers window decided to close by itself, and then 2 min later half open, now it won't move, guessing I have a short in the drivers door! Great considering I can't lock or even close the window on the dam thing now!

Sixlta,

Turned out a few things wrong for me. LHR door actuator cactus, likely being the cause of the door ajar warning not going out. Also had corroded wiring in both rear doors causing a power drain. Further, when the car is turned off and it completes all the various system checks, rather than 5mins, my car was doing this over 45 mins and drawing charge from the battery the whole time. Add all that up and it's a problem.

Perhaps take yours in and get it checked out. The dealer did allude that there have been a few VE's with similar problems.

See how you go.
