Mate if you are just after a cable I've used one I got from e-bay. I'd post the link but am not allowed as don't have enough posts apparently.

Just search "VE IPOD" in E-bay and you'll find a few. I got the one from ASL for $46.

Does the job. Sound quality is pretty good I think. I don't get any noise. $46 might be a bit steep for a cable and you might be able to find a cheaper one elsewhere but I wasn't bothered looking any further.

Note you still have to use the ipod to control songs etc. The volume control works from your car but the rest has to be done from the iphone/ipod.

It comes with pretty clear instructions on how to install and if I can do it anyone can. Takes all of about 10 mins. No need to pull out the head unit. You can access the aux input from the plastic planels on the drivers side.

There are a few threads on here for ipod integration with your head unit if you want to go that step further and control the ipod with your steering wheel controls.

cheers.

As tosspot said, the ASL one is easy. Take the driver side panels off (unclip) and then just add the cable into the existing wiring. Easy.
