hi guys and gals,

first thread ive made, now i have a 11 second vx ss with a L98, and i now have
broken engine mounts. the question is should i go for the nolathane semi solid. or are people happy with the rubber units? the hydraulic ones are out of the question. if anyone has feed back on the NOLATHANE ones such as vibration and harshness would be much appriceated.

cheers matt

the ones i have in my vx are a great bit of gear.
you can notice the vibrations more, but after a while you dont notice it.

so do you think just skip getting the rubber ones? go straight for nolathane? its my daily drive so i dont want to many vibirations.

i bought another set of nolathane mounts for my hq. after installing them in my vx.
i love how the car drives now.
the vibrations are more noticable, but only when the car is sitting and idleing. once moving i cant tell.
i wont be going back to standard mounts...
and also i feel as if you dont lose intertia through the twist in the motor.

I fitted the nolathane ones in my vy clubby and only notice the vibration at idle and that is with a largish cam. I personly recomend these over the rubber ones.

Thanks daniel

Where are people getting them? Direct from Nolathane or a cheaper re-seller ect?

Ive just ordered a set of these...http://www.hinsonsupercars.com/p-1285-hms-urethane-engine-mounts-c5c6gtorx7.aspx

Good price and apparently work pretty well...

Looks similar to these. (https://www.revshift.com/shop/motor-mounts/gto/polyurethane-motor-mounts-2004-2006-pontiac-gto.php)
I searched back through threads as far as 2009, none give really conclusive answers.
