Not at all hard :)
Drop the Pan, pull the filter put a little wipe of oil on the new filter neck and push into place, clean the magnet in the pan smear some RTV on the pan so the new gasket sticks to it then refit not over torquing the bolts (18Nm). done!

If you do it properly there is a seal up where the snout of the trans filter goes and comes in the kit to replace.
Easy with the correct tools, its a challenge if you dont know what your doing so just see if the seal has gone hard

Maybe, but a messy job, if the car is on ramps it isn't level, bit of a balancing job when dropping the pan, keeping the fluid in the pan. Also I am sure I read somewher on here that if you only change the fluid in the pan, you have only done half the job, as there is plenty more in transmission, fluid lines and trans cooler.

I have a hoist ;)
The converter holds a bit as well..
Unless you have access to a flush machine it's almost impossible to get all of the old oil out.

Also a proper trans flush can be about 20L of Fluid, thats alot of cash to purchase the fluid

Esp if you're using a Synthetic or even a semi synthetic!!
I pulled my trans a couple of weeks ago, drained it on the hoist, opened it up and it's been sitting on the bench with the front pump out leaking onto an old sheet folded up, I stood it on it's end today while reassembling and another litre+ leaked out everywhere ;)
You can never get it all out, it hides!!
