It's nothing more than a big dose of guesswork, similar to what circulated when a senior GM person said VF would have elements of Volt in it.
Suddenly VF looked half like a Volt in "artists impressions". Much like this latest Wheels pic does.
I seriously doubt F series HSV will have half the bonnet covered in a huge plastic vent.

What's the deal with the 5.5L engine? Supercharged? Have I missed some threads?

No, Gen 5 is smaller capacity but will feature direct injection and I think in some versions variable valve timing. Good for nearly 330KW.

The world is moving to smaller capacity engines although evidently the 5.5L Gen 5 is a short stroke engine with a low deck height. Evidently there will be a version that has a similar deck height to the Gen IV so can be taken out to 6.2L.

Interesting aticle in Wheels about the engine that will first see the light of day in the C7 Corvette.

Cheers, Matthew

That car is grotesque.

Just be happy that when it comes to artist impressions, they are always so far off the mark its not funny!

Reminds me of an Evo IV, not a bad thing. Make an AWD turbo Cruze like that.

 senator grille, fg headlights and a spastic looking bonnet.... Yep that's the future!

I'll keep an eye out as I regularly see camo'd cars and left hand drive of Holden's and other makes on my travels across town
