+1 for the Difillipo, a mate has the dual 3inch on his monaro & it sounds mint.

Fyi the walkinshaw exhausts are made by HM.

How loud is the 2.5'' diffillipo?

Well my mate's one isn't overly loud & that's cammed, so I don't think the 2.5inch would be either.

If you mean exhaust, I had a twin 3" on my VT and it sounded great.
I recomend them.

+1 for the DF.

I have a 3" stainless twin on my VY Monaro and it's sounds horn. Pacie 1 7/8 4-1's with ballistic cats.

Go the DF, worth every cent.

ebbitt21, you've asked the IMPOSSIBLE to answer question. There are simply way too many variables in personal taste, other mods to the car etc to answer your question!
Some like it loud, some like it deep, some like it raspy, some must have it legal, some like stainless sound, some like mild steel sound, some must have 3 inch loud, some love 2.5 inch loud, some like it to "bark"...and we could go on and on and on.
Some subjects just cannot be answered on the internet, and this is one of them. You need to get out there and listen to some options.

I'd recommend you contact some local forum members for a listen if possible.
The other option is to deal with a respected exhaust supplier, and have a chat. A well respected shop should listen to your wishes, and (hopefully) offer the most suitable option. If they are a busier place they might even have a fitment coming up that you could turn up and listen to, or offer some sort of guarantee that if not to your expectations they'll swap it over for another brand. For a common vehicle that they keep a system on the shelf for they might be happy doing this.
Also remember that things like cam choice and header/cat options can have a notable effect on the sound, so what sounds awesome on one car may sound quite different on one with a different cam, or header brand etc.

Same here and I totally agree with you. 6 years on and it still sounds awesome. A cam will be installed shortly (when my parts arrive from the USA) and the sound will get even deeper....I can't wait

Thanks, im getting a cam next week, so the single 3'' gotta come off at some stage. Twin 2.5'' m/s diffilipo looks like its on the cards. I can get a wlky catback for 1500 but never heard one, except on a VE.

Head & cammed twin 3" DF system is pretty subtle and sounds great! Sureflo single 3.5" isn't bad either although a little louder.

I'm also confused about this, the story seems to have changed somewhat.

He apparently had a DF twin 3" but sold it because he didn't think it was all it was cranked up to be. Didin't sound that good.
And then said X Force was better, but it seems things have changed again.

In this thread he said he sold it because he needed the cash.

And now, another thread about which exhaust to buy? :hmmm:

Not having a dig, just genuinely confused.

100PERCENT CORRECT ifanyone has wasted too much on exhausts its me.

The above is right
I will list in order the exhausts ive had onmy current setup.
1 remus race-was on car went bought-It blew the rear muffler
2 Sureflo Xtra Loud-
3.single 3''
4.xforce twin 3'' S/S
5.rAGE TWIN 3'' M/S
6 DF Twin 3''
7.xforce M/Stwin 3''
8.single 3= Number 2 onlist.
Changed to Pacemaker headers at number 4,changed to DF BUT didnt think it sounded right on a stock car and wanted to free up some cash so sold it and put number 7 on, and that ended up being too loud, so went back to number 8....... However i did go for a drive in a cammed maloo with full DF 3' Bigboy system and now kick myself for selling the DF, as with a cam, sounds totally different to mine
