I have done 30 min of searching... but no avail in relation to the question I have...which makes me think it probably is a bit silly however...
I wanted to know if engine/transmission/exhaust from VE UTE is straight swap into VE Sedan. As in a complete heart lung and hip tansplant.
I have the opportunity to obtain my dream FI package for some cash and my standard motor/box.... before I say yes just want to make sure it is a straight swap (will be getting full exhaust and computer)

i was under the impression that the BCM in the VE's were not compatible, making transplants like these a major pain in the ass.
could be totally wrong though.

Oh ok.... so at worst I can swap the motor/trans/exhaust and would need to get a tune to suit the new combo flashed in?

If I am right the ute exhaust wont fit the sedan & Visa Versa

Damn... but the motor/box can swap no drama? The deal is so sweet I don't care if I have to get a tune and new zorst....it's just more time critical... as in I will have probably one half days to cross swap both motors and box, then drive back from perth to east coast.... how much of the exhaust are not compatible?? As in will headers (pacemaker) come across no problem .. or the system up till the cats and cat back is not compatible?

Engine and box are the same thing on either vehicle. I believe its just from the Cats back as the sedan isnt as long as the ute.
