Have a VE HSV 317 Auto, been great car. I have had two previous HSV's and had them edited with tunes and changes to the CAI with great improvements. I was told that the 317 is tuned very well and it would be a waste of money to tinker and just to the CAI and a tune. I am looking at $1450.00 to do both. I do not want to change the exhaust at this stage but will consider later on.
I have searched on the forum but there is so much information, I end up getting lost. If you can let me know what you think, I would appreciate your comments.
Thanks.

Hi dark,

That is the most common mods that people start with - Peter is correct - You will certainly get a benefit from a tune - especially if you run it in 98 Ron fuel and look after it.

Find a reputable tune shop - A large number of VCM equipped workshops are located on our dealer locator on the VCM suite website & are sponsors of this forum.

Drop us an email if we can help further.

Ps.your pm box is full

Cheers

Thanks, appreciate the comments. I will have to look at some providers, Walkinshaw was about $1450.

Thanks.

My E3 GTS has the factory bimodal so may not be comparable to your setup however after I got the VCM OTR installed the cars sound transformed into a much nicer and deeper V8 roar under acceleration thanks to the OTR. I ended up getting a custom tune and picked up 40rwkw from this exercise. If you can do both, go for it. If you can only do one, my choice would be OTR first. God I love the sound of the induction roar.......
