Hey guys,

Wanted to ask the community if anyone knows how much it costs these days to ship a car from Brisbane to Melbourne?
And if anyone has any contacts in the industry who could look after me.

Cheers

I bought my silverado in adelaide was quoted $1280 to freight it from there to traralgon, they go on size so me & the misses flew tiger $115 one way $180 for fuel $85 motel & $60 odd for food & beer & the enjoyment of the drive in a new toy, but my brother got a road bike sent from surfers to melb for $ 440.
get a quote then work out if you go there yourself how much you (might) save or send a mate

Around a thousand bucks..
just brought a car from brisbane to north queensland. 1000+ kilometers

it cost 700$ to get it here, i was in a hurry and paid an extra 300$ for priority and got it delivered in 3 days..

hope that helps

- i used ceva transport, have used about 6 or 7 times now... great service, never any damage. and they washed it for me before i picked it up! -

Cost me $300 from Brisbane Airport to Canberra, so maybe around $5-600 to Melbourne.

I used ceva as well, melbourne to Darwin, $1400.

Two scratched rims! The lady said they wouldn't repair it even though it should be insured against any damage they cause.

The reason they gave is that I had existing scratches on the rims and if they repaired the wheels they would have to do the whole wheel. WTF???

Anyway, the saga is still ongoing.

Early 2007 I used Patricks to get a VS Commodore down from Brisbane to Melbourne. It was only a cheapie to use until my VE arrived in March so I wasn't overly fussed but they did a good job! The forum member sending it down told me the mileage and how much petrol it had in it when he dropped it off and it arrived at their depot in Altona with exactly the same and no marks. :goodjob:

Total cost $435! I gather that direction is usually cheaper than Melb to Brisbane as trucks often come back half empty. http://www.patrickautocare.com.au/

I just bought a VX Clubsport and had it sent from the Gold Coast to Melbourne through Toll for $500. That was delivered to residential not just to the depot.
