If you are ever in the market to buy some new wheels or tires DON'T GO TO BRIGSTONE SELECT!!!
I put an order in for my wheels and tires 4 weeks ago and they only just finally got them ready this Friday just gone, when I first put down the deposit it was a Friday they told me they would be ready the next Tuesday, came to Tuesday no phone call from them so I called them to see if the wheels were ready, I was told that their "supplier" had to source the tires internationally so they told me it would be more like the end of next week, I accepted this, then they call me up on the Thursday of the week they said the wheel would be ready and told me to bring the car in as the wheels are ready to be fitted, great!! So I drove the car ( A halve an hour Drive by the way) to get there and find out that some idiot employee had damaged 3 of the tires while attempting to fit them to the wheels so the manager apologized and I went home empty handed what a humungous wast of time and fuel that was!!! To make this whole thing worse they told me they should be able to get replacement tires the next day, next day I wait for a call from them but nothing so I call them up now they tell me its going to be Thursday next week at the very latest, so Thursday comes no phone call at this stage I cant even be bothered any more then they finally called me up on friday and the wheels were actually ready to go, HOORAY!!!
heres a pic anyway:

So you recommending to everyone (Australia wide) to avoid Bridgestone dealerships because you had a couple of delays getting some custom wheels and tyres at one specific store?
In the end you got what you wanted, sure there was a few annoyances along the way but you didnt lose any money, you got what you paid for so what are you whinging about?
For the record, i ordered a gearbox/tailshaft from a company which took over 3 months from placing the order to it arriving. There were delays which stuffed me around a bit, but that is to be expected.
Harden up princess.

Bridgestone???
Like many places Bridgestone outlets are independently franchised so what happens at one is absolutely irrelevant to what happens at others.
Black Diamond on here (John) owns the Bridgestone franchise (AKA Protek Tyres) in Oakleigh down here and he and his guys (almost all members on here) all understand how anal we can be about our rims and cars and take extra special care!! :yup: Plus absolutely no BS advice!! :yup: Absolutely no way I'd go anywhere else!!

Fair enough complaint...nobody likes to be stuffed around. Sounds like their customer service was a bit lacking.
But as Wonky has said....all the Bridgestone stores are independently owned, so painting them all with the same brush is not fair at all.
+1 for the guys at Protek. Even if they do like to touch each other in the bottom.
Perhaps name and shame the actual Bridgestone store if u feel u have to...

Yeah, Nah, I reckon its safe to say that they are an alright bunch from the fact that the guy fessed up to the tech wrecking the first lot of tyres.
I know a few shops that would have just put them on your car and smiled as you left the shop, then acted all shocked if you called them on it later, or even better, blamed you for the damage.

"in" the bottom or "on" the bottom?
Do they play with your "wheels nuts" as well?
Protek boys are a bunch of poofs are they?
Explains why Hekyeh is a customer :hide:
I would personally never go to protek tyres, wheels and prostate inspectors.
Can't really put my finger on why though! Or should that be "in".
Ohhh a whole 4 weeks.... how ever did you cope....
I ordered a factory main body harness from Holden in August to suit a 5 year old car, it kept being shuffled back and eventually I was told they didn't even have the parts in Australia to make it and would have to order them from Korea this blew the ETA out to Mid December with no promise that it would actually happen by then..
As Hek said 4 weeks for something custom isn't all that bad and to hang Bridgestone dealers Australia wide is a bit much.
Dunno might just be me but I'm sure 3>10 more threads on your wheels would help..

They said they should be ready on Tuesday.
They stuffed up, the blokes got a right to complain.
Tyres aren't exactly a custom part.

I agree 100%, but to jump in here and post

I had that happen, damaged my rim fitting the tyre, I noticed it before I left the tyre shop and pointed it out, they tried to tell me it was like that, BS I said, they finally admitted they did it and then I waited 6 weeks for them to have my rim repaired.

Yes its true that every store is independently run but i think the problem is that they are not used to ordering specific wheels and tires i think it was just a bit of a stiff order for them, my main complaint is that they should have just given me a realistic time frame

So you blame the dealer for their supplier issue.
