Where to buy stainless exhaust u-bends?

not sure about where ever u live but here in vic there is midway metals, atlas metals, tubesales, fagersta, shep stainless, dal steel, matrix stainless and a few others, im pretty sure there is midway warehouses all over the country

I tried a couple of local steel places and they had no idea as soon as I said mandrel bend, unless you're buying RHS or reo bar most of the local steel guys arent too interested.

where abouts are you located, we sell them at work but we just buy them off the companys i just mentioned

I'm in Newcastle, I just googled midway metals and see they have a branch at Thornton, thats not far from my work, I will give them a call. Thanks heaps for the info. Any idea roughly what I should be paying for a 2.5 inch bend in 304?

Called midway metals, they didnt have any 304, only u-bends were 316 stainless, 2.5 inch diameter, 1.6 wall thinkness for $60 (non stock, ex bris), that was on my works account so I guess thats 60 plus GST.

Altlas didnt have any u-bends to suit but had 2.5 inch diameter, 1.6mm wall thickness, long 90 degree bends in 304 stainless for $23, again on my works account so it would be plus GST.

Do these prices sound about fair?

Its been a while since I got bends from Hurricane but I would guess no one in does more mandrel bends in NSW than they do. Cant recall prices last time on stainless but they were reasonable and always excellent to deal with. Great people. Susan runs things on the front desk and has prices at hand and they bend on premises.
