Ok guys, I need some advice if anyone out there has fitted nitrous to their VE as I would like to. Current mods to my VE LS2 Maloo are as follows, OTR, cam, headers, hi-flow cats and 2.5 cat back system, tune and standard auto and diff. In its current form its making 299rwkw. Just how dangerous is this to the engine and what kits are recommened. I would like to start with a 50 shot or 75 shot as just for the local street meet series.
Any advice will be appreciated !

Well maybe you could give me the 12K to do so ?

Not dangerous at all, however finding someone with the experience required to do it is another point.

Investigate what it cost to do refills.. its not as cheap as you think in the long run.

I did and ended up with 425rwkw...and 8psi..new pully this week.
Nothing to refill..and in the states you can get a 100,000 mile warranty..
A fair bit more than 12 if you want to do it properly

If you want it to be 'safe' you will need a fuel system.

I have a fogger set up on mine, 75 shot is about it with the standard pump, I have fitted the ASE twin pumps now. Have only used the N2o once with the tune still rich... Went from 11.82 @ 115 to 11.33 @ 120.6 with 75 on it. Be warned, it can be addictive ...

if u go wet system like i and the others have done / doing and run a bigger pump, but a surge and a pump would be a good, and as a safe guard a fuel pressure switch to shut it all down if pressure drops ill also be intalling a dualstage window switch

Thanks Guys, much appreciate all your valuable information. You have now given me the confidence to persue the nitrous experience. just out of curriosity, is there a specific kit that you would recommend and a good way to conceal the unit in the unlikely chance of a inspection ?

Good pricing as well.On 299KW your going to need a bigger pump, window switch colder plugs and if your tuned with efi live you could do a seperate map for a nitrous tune or a timing puller or take a few deg out of the asp tune.Jump on Ls1tech alot of good info to read.
