I have not taken my SS to the track BUT I have raced my bike several times with best time 10.53 at 140 mph and I crew on a 7 second altered that is about to be reborn with a 16/71 blower on it so.

Traction is the name of the game whether you are running street tyres or slicks and the track is prepared to a far greater degree for a National open meet than it is for a wednesday night street meet. There is usually enough left in the track on the wednesday after the national meet for you to hook up nicely.

The following dates are the Wednesday nights after a National Meet:

1/10,15/10, 29/10, 12/11, 10/12, 14/1, 4/2, 18/2, 3/3, 24/3, 7/4

An August Sunday would see my bikes tyre spinning until the end of the concrete, 100m!

A good Wednesday after a National was zero wheelspin at 42psi on the same tyre with no burnout.

And if you are at the track please come have a look at our Altered
