I got a HID kit for Christmas :). It is for the VE's high beam. The kit has two male spade connectors (one red wire and one black wire) that are meant to plug into the cars plug that usually goes directly onto the back of the H9 globe. The cars plug has two wires going into it - both gray. Is there a negative and positive side to the plug? Thanks for any advice.

My service manual indicates the positive is Gray and the negative is Brown.
Have you got a multimeter or a test light?
Just check each lead to earth with the lights on and the one that turns on the test light is the positive.. (or use a multimeter)..

Thanks cashie. Just checked - they both seem grey to my eyes. Multimeter - gave me the answer. All good.
