What I don't "like" about this car, is the amount of "electronic" stuff in the car......Geez, I'm simply flat out switching on my home computer in the morning, but this car's got "linguaphonics", "command Systems", "GPS", "Voice Command" ra ra ra etc etc etc......EVEYTHING is "programable"......to be quite honest.....all this stuff is in another "age" to me.....I don't understand it, & I don't think I need it.............so, at the end of the day, as long as I know how to "put the pedal to the metal"...I'm happy!
The finish on this car is beautiful.

As an owner of a mercedes benz, also bought in Australia, the only negative thing I can say is MB Australia are the ripoff kings. Your car is awesome and I love it, but we aussies pay way too much and it isn't just LCT etc - MB is raping every single buyer here. Compare same car same price in other parts of the world like USA... I have made a personal decision to never again buy a ripoff car from MB. Until they make pricing reasonable.

Same goes for trucks like Kenworths and so on. Over $300k here for a basic linehaul - in USA same sort of truck well under $200k.

Having said that - enjoy!!!

Aussie Pete...can't argue with you mate.......I reckon the Govt's got around $40K+ tax out of me personally......PLUS, all the import taxes etc,...I hear what you say about M/B, but mate, they're babes in the woods compared to our bl..dy taxes.
Graeme...mate, I do not know what you mean when you refer to a "black roof"? There is of course the recently introduced "Black Series" which is a Coupe, & of which there are only 32 to be imported to Aus at $245K (all pre sold in the "blink of an eye" & a bit above my league I'm afraid).

Interesting you say "it might not always be so" Pickles. If my plans work out as I get older the 3 point star is in my sights. Have quite an interest in a CLK 63 Black or the equivalent when the day comes. When the numbers of C63 owners is gaining momentum, says something about the appeal of these vehicles. Much classier than a BMW IMHO.

Well, we love Coupes, we've always liked 2 door cars......many of them have a "muscular" look about them.
We could've had a C63 Coupe, but to be honest, in this instance, we actually preferred the look of the 4 door....although, let me tell you, the new C63 "Black Series" is an awesome looking beast!
