Yes, have a VE engine in my VX currently. Same Engine Mounts & Harness etc can be used if in good condition, although you will need a converter box to be able to read the signal from 6L & adapt it to 5.7L ecu.

will need to swap the sump over (or get a sump of a VZ 6.0 Baffling is better), change reluctor or get a convertor box to convert the signal. VX has 24 tooth reluctor VE has 58 tooth computer won't read it properly. Will need to extend cam sensor wiring and swap the two outer wires over. Get a cable throttle body. The manual trans in a VE is different and you would be better to get one from an earlier model say VT-VZ shifter is all different. Knock sensors on the 6.0 go on the block so wiring will need to be extended there as well

to swap reluctor wheels over crankshafts both need to come out so could just swap the cranks.
The 5.7 sump will fit but the vz 6 litre sump has better baffling

Rub (Kim) has an L98 in his VX - done by HPF IIRC. Had a lot of problems with the converter box from memory (due to heat), but according to doubledip (wiring guru) those problems are a thing of the past with the newer converter boxes.

i think id swap the cranks rather than converter box i just don't like the sound of having it when i can just have a 5.7 crank to fix the problem for good , the 6.0 needs a rebuild anyway as it,s a free motor and box

Dont swap cranks, only need to change reluctor wheel
Ive got a stroked L76 in my monaro - we changed reluctor wheel, and 3 yrs down the track, all is good as gold!!
