Hi All,
I'm currently pulling off a tow bar and wiring from a VE Sportwagon with reverse sensors. Can anyone tell me if the trailer loom is separate from the reverse sensors or is it a combined loom? I want to try and remove the towbar and wiring as a complete unit to fit to another car.
Simon.

Thanks guys.
Hmmm, I just pulled the rear bumper and mine is all in the one loom. It's a genuine GM tow kit so maybe they have two part numbers for the looms, one for reverse sensors only and one for both sensors and trailer wiring?

hi there
i have never seen a dual harness before. the reverse sensor wiring should be seperate from the towbar wiring. the sensor wiring runs to the left just below the lh tail-light where it enters under the tail-light. are you sure everything is genuine? just a thought.
cheers terry

OK, given that every one seems to believe I'm wrong, I went out and rechecked.....
Seems I made an assumption that was incorrect! The part of the loom I thought was the sensor wiring was just an earth and additional unused plug heading over to the passenger side of the car. So it's all out now, I just need to get a 1/2" drive 15mm impact socket for the tow bar bolts as they seem to have been done up with a rattle gun. Otherwise, everything else is out, including the trailer wiring control box.
Thanks for the good info guys.
Simon.
Hopefully once the bolts come out it is not as hard to get out and mine was to get in. It is a tight squeeze where the bar supports slid in. Mine required a block of wood and a quite a persuasive tap to go in. So once the bolts are out it still may require and bit of pushing and pulling. (genuine bar- s2 wagon)

If it's too tight, I'll just rope it off on a fence post or something and drive off........

She would want to be a strong fence! Goodluck! :)

I had had a look at mine some time ago and I have two seperate looms, the tow bar loom and module (which is what turns off the reverse sensors when a trailor is connected) is located on the right hand side of my ute, the park sensors run all the way down the left to a kick panel on the passenger side where they connect to the Bluetooth Connector.
