My steering wheel has developed a little click at each approx. 1/3 turn. I thought it was the plastic trims loose and flapping around but its not, and I can't see anything obvious, have re-ajusted its position etc - could something be loose inside? all the buttons work so connections must still be Ok. Doesn't affect the operation of the wheel, just annoying.

Has come up a few times before eg. http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthread.php?148199-Ve-hsv-steering-wheel-problem. Do a search on VE steering wheel click and hopefully you'll find an answer.

Yep, had the same thing. Took to Holden and they replaced the steering rod that runs from the steering wheel and thru the firewall. I still can't figure out why but i needed a wheel alignment after that cause the steering wheel wasn't straight. No more clicking after they replaced that rod though!

Sorry no. It was 2 or so years ago. Dropped off before work, picked up after and done under warranty.

Cheers

Just for the sake of people possibly searching this issue. The problem was the drivers Airbag required a readjustment and shim, took about 15min for dealer to fix.
