Magnaflow 100CPI cats, anyone used?

Hi there all,

I am currently getting parts for a new exhaust and am looking at buying High-FLow Cats! Last time i bought Ballistic but have seen Magnaflow 100CPI cats..

Has anyone used these? how do they compare to the Ballistic cats?

not sure on those, but im using the ballistic cats and they are excellent. I have yet to see negative feedback on them, and greg @ sureflo was fantastic with service and advice. I've had mine for about 2-3 years now and still perfect. from memory they're the same price as those too?

Assuming Greg's Ballistics are still on sale as they often are, they're almost $100 cheaper for the pair inc postagae and like VNV8 I don't see any reason to go away from them. I've also had mine for getting on for 3 years and 45,000km with no problems at all. In fact with all the many people who use them I've only ever heard of one problem and that was on a 500+rwkw blown car.

CHE (forum sponsors) also have a nice stainless bodied one with a bung. similar price to magnaflow.

forgive my ignorance, but why would you want a bung in a catalytic converter? for inspection, or something else? doesnt look o2 sensor sized to me. curious...

They are 02 sensor bungs

my gf got le bokka 100cpi cats off ebay. 2 x 2.5inch cats delivered for less than $300. had them a year, no probs on her 5.7 vz calkais daily. is tuned with full exhaust as well.

These cats are all well and good... I am in the process of engineering a blown VE so I need cats that will pass me on a 5 gas analyser test .. Any suggestions ??

Ive only ever used magnaflow cats, never had a problem :) . Except I think mine were 200 cpi...

i built a full magnflow system on my car 200cpi cats, mufflers, resonator, and x over pipe.
no probs with the cats had them for 3yrs now
