I am looking at an Air Inuction Pipe-1 of the new smooth ones to replace the factory unit and want to know if anyone has tried 1 and do they make a difference.VCM and VPW both supply 1 and they give 2 different power gain figures
Will a new tune be needed to allow for the extra air being flowed.I am going to keep the MAF

Both can be kept with factory tune, my old man runs a SS Inductions one on his VE and hasn't had a tune. Picks up a bit of a gain but tune will make it more worth while. Why not go a OTR that still retains the MAF?

-- I had a K&N filter put in the original air box last October,so I don't want to throw that money away

What model car?

I've done some intake mods similar to what you're saying to a VX in my build thread.

I will need to make sure whatever I buy has the fitting for the Crank Sensor and look further into the 2 hole mod to the air box

The crank sensor????

Do you mean the IAT sensor?? If your going to get the pipe you might as well do the two hole mod as well, it can only be of benefit.

I have been trying to find a thread on the 2 hole mod to check what needs to be done and how, just to confirm what I think it is
