Just when i thought only my SSZ has issues, the missus 07 SSV has a few gremlins too.
And as usual when i ask her how long its done it the answer is typically "oh,for a little while now i think".
the aircon will shut itself off when pressing auto and if you force the fan speed up via the control it will blow out,but the compressor sounds like its struggling. Then when the fan speed control is released it will power down and switch off still.

ok second problem.
the front right suspension has a knock when driving in a straight line, and i can replicate it while turning right on uneven surfaces.the suspension has been fully inspected visually by both southern cross ford (yes i know but they give better service here than holden can) and also pedders threw it up on a hoist for an hour to no avail.Pedders did agree that if the internals where poked in the shock itself that the only way to check was to remove it.But if i wanted to do that i may as well replace them any way right? So in saying that is there a known fault with the shocks failing early on,80k.

3rd issue.
The the lcd text was yellow instead on the usual white the other day when it was hot, whats the go with that.

Apart from that I reckon its a good car :D

Does it restart if you push the OFF button, wait about 5 secs and then the AUTO button?
Mine was doing this and i am almost certain it is linked to Battery voltage (mine did it when I first bought the car and then when the battery was low)

Not any known early common shock issues that I know, but the early sway bar D bushes are a known source of knocking.

Have seen this before when the LCDs get hot, goes away when they cool, if under warranty you can push for a replacement (might fix it)

Apart from that I reckon its a good car :D

My comments above in red

Thanks for the response cashie.
I just tripple checked and the off/auto combo doesnt seem to help. Both ford and pedders thought swaybars too untill they hoisted it up and everything is tight as a drum. The LCD i think we can eliminate as being just a ratshyt component thats prone to heat failure i guess.

My swaybar bushes felt good too when they were checked, I changed them anyway and all my knocks went away..

There are plenty of threads on your first two problems and AFAIK all LCD screens suffer problems when hot, not just Holden cars.

Thanks for the effort wonky but i had read those amongst others and while the members all had aircon issues they were very wide in spectrum and not closely matching to my issues. That and the fixes range from software updates, complete HVAC replacements through to the wrong oil or faulty o-rings.Thanks anyway.
I guess Im leaving it up to the dealership on the next service coming up,they normally dont charge like a wounded bull so with any luck lube wont be required. As for the LCD screen, you would think all the kinks would have been worked out before adding this you beaut feature.

Thanks John will def hit him up.As you are probably aware if your out this way,its real hard to find quality workshops out there so word of mouth and trial and error plays a big part.Dont get me started on tuners out here.

Update*

care went in for a check up and they found that the auto button for the climate control was sticking hence the shutdown. It seemed fine to me but the aircon now works so all is good.funnily enough on the morning it went in i noticed that the drivers tail light was fogged up so ford replaced it under warranty with no questions asked. Now all thats left is to fix the knocking issue in the right strut.
