just after some opinions on tuff sounding mufflers, on my monaro, its making 315rwkws, thru twin 3 inch, pacemakers 4 into1s, difillipo cats, and twin 3 inch x force, when i drop my rear resonators to race its sounds a bit shit, anyone used any other brand mufflers that sound tuff, also when resonators dropped

With a system like you have why do you need to drop off the rear resonators anyway?
I can't see any power gains from dropping them. ;)

full magnaflow system on my car, I just put their cross over in, it quieten the car down a bit and i'm running 14in mufflers and i think 16in reso with built in cross over inside as well. before i put the cross over in she wasnt loud but if i put tthe foot down you hear i lovely deep note roaring away. but still had a quietish nice cruizing note too without much hint of drone.
thinking about taking the crossover out to get that note back as i miss it at times...

Aren't the aerochambers to big to fit under the car?i think i saw a picture of a vy monaro with 2 hookers standing on there side in the position where the reso would sit.

If your referring to the Red Monaro with the rear muffler vertical, then the mufflers are Edelbrock
SDT! The car is on this forum somewhere apparently they drone a lot!

Mate you could be right i did see it a long time ago i just remember big rectangle mufflers on the rear.
Anyone tried a set of Gonzo mufflers on a ls1? i had a set on my sbc and sounded outter control.

Think that was Richie (cmycv8) - droned like all hell. As a result of his off road excursion on a cruise (he decided he needed to go down to the "bank") he made a mess of his car, including exhaust so got a new full 3" DF and is now rapt!!

He did a best of 11.2 on 511rwhp. The new setup sees it at 572rwhp, thats when a few problems started. First time out with the new setup, snapped an axel coming off the line. Second time out the box started to slip. With the box getting rebuilt we're hoping for high 10s.
