VE carbon fibre bonnets??? anybody know if someone makes them?

Yes Maverick Man Carbon in the USA does - Carbon top fibreglass frame. Theyre handlaid so you get some weave distortion. Also they only suit the Pontiac/E2/E3 style front bumpers. Theyre very reasonable at USD$790 but you'd probably be paying equivilent of 670KG of weight to ship it - even though it only weighs 11kg

I'd estimate packaging to be atleast 1500x1500x300 = 675litre.

Thanks so much!! i know someone would have to be doing them! going to check that site out right now, as ive always wanted one and since i need a bonnet now after i found they don't look to good after a Kangaroo makes contact, Kangaroo=0, GTS bonnet=0

Hybrid customs in perth do them and will make what u need.

i was under the impression that carbon fibre bonnets were illegal.
as they will not crumple in an accident, they will shatter, the reduce the effectiveness of the cars crumple zone.
my mate had one on a STI and he had to paint it so no one could see.

but on the other hand the bonnet was light weight as can be.
i think a standard bonnet weighs about 30 to 40 kgs where the carbon fibre one weighs about 10kgs i think.
