The time has come to post this up. At no time, is this afinancial reason for sale, it's more of a personal/family situation that I amdoing this for. So here goes.
1999 WRX STi Version VI in steel blue
167 xxx kms on theodometer
Rego till November 2012
Well maintained and looked after and is tastefully modifiedwith the goal of being a reliable daily driver.
Engine; All work carried out by MSR
Built 2.5 consisting of MSR Spec Pistons, Argo Rods, ClosedDeck, Cosworth 11mm Head Studs, Version 6 STi heads with Kelford 264 cam's, V6STi intake, Top feed Fuel Rail conversion with ID 1000 cc injectors, Fuel Reg(think it's a sard MSR provided) In tank Walbro, Process West TMIC and MSR/APS custom intake. Exhaust is a 3" customTBE that is quiet and works. Engine has approximately 11000 kms on it since being built. 3500 of them were on the run in tune with a 4k rev limiter.
Turbo;
APS SR56 that has been rebuilt due to the seals failing rebuilt to stock specs under 1000kms since rebuild also has a Garrett beanie over it.
Driveline;
02 STi Euro spec 6spd Manual, this box has the taller 5thand 6th gear ratio's, perfect for highway cruising. 110km/h is just nudging 3100 rpm. R180 plated rear diff 3.54 ratio, with GC8 length R180 rear drive shafts and hubs. Diff is low km's can't find that receipt but the gearbox only had 53,560kms on it, when installed and has had approx. 15 000 kms on it.Clutch is a Jim Berry custom Carbotics plate and the pressure plate was resprung to 3800lbs of clamping force. It's surprisingly a lighter than standard feel clutch that catches me out it if I don't drive it often enough. Clutch was put in at the same time as the 6spd.
Brakes;
02 STi Brembo's front and rear with stock rotors and EBCGreen stuff brake pads. These stop the car extremely well time after time with no fade found on the street.
Suspension;
Pedder's Extreme XA Coil overs, never had an issue with them and I have found a comfortable setup that still is responsive when needed.
Wheels/Tyres;
17x7.5 Rota GRA's with 215 45 R17 Kumho Ku36's allround. The wheels are in good nick and tyres have approx. 40% left on them.
Misc;
Autronic SM4, Turbosmart E Boost Street series EBC, Defi STiOil temp Oil pressure and Water temp gauges in 60mm and a Defi 52mm Boost gaugein Bar with the Defi STi controller. Tech Edge wide band AFR gauge Alarm is a Mongoose MA80 Alarm and a portable Fire extinguisher.
I'm the 3rd owner of this car, and still have 2keys and the factory spare and the books etc. from new. This has been anawesome daily driver, and reliable. Oil used has been Mobil Delvac and has been replaced every 4000-4500 kms. Fuel filter has been replaced every 10 000kms and the gearbox and diffs get done then using Neo Syn 80/90W. It made 260kw @ the wheels on 20 psi and I have taken it down the 1/4 once. Best time wasa 12.8 @ 108mph with no traction off the line and missed a gear toward the end of therun (60 footer was 2.184) It has Launch control enabled though and with more practice it would have resulted in a better time but I haven't been back.
I still have the stock exhaust and some parts lying aroundthat can go with the car if the purchaser, APS FMIC Kit, Prodrive Rear Spoiler,oils filters etc. The front lip on the passenger side is damaged (paint removedand scratch marks) from where I rubbed the curb, I have quotes to fix and may get it fixed in the coming weeks, although I was holding off until the day after I fitted the APS FMIC kit as to allow for cutting etc of the bar.
Will be sad to see it go as it is quite a fun car to own/drive but as said before it's a personal/family reason for sale not a financial one, so if it doesn't sell straight away I'm not that fussed. I might actually do some things I had planned maybe, maybe not. Feel free to offer as Iam a big fan of "don't ask, won't know" and I will endeavor to reply to all txt's/pm's regarding the car.
