Hi folks, I have just got home from trying out my new Harrop S/C ............. OMFG

What a revelation....... if anyone is seriously considering taking Chev up on his '15% Off' Blower packages, I only have 2 words for you.

DO IT!!!!!! :woot:

How is it possible that my 2004 VY SS wagon can be SOOOOOO transformed, the sound, the torque, the feel, the drive ............. it's just freak'n amazing, this one mod has completely changed the dynamic and driving experience of my once standard car. All of my previous mods have now come to life (brakes, shockers, sway bars, diff, bushes) now it all makes sense.......... I had to peeeel myself out of the drivers seat tonight (and yes Rob, I now understand, it just could be BETTER than sex.....).

Thanks Gary and the guys at Chev's, you have given me exactly what I wanted, I could not be happier with my car or with the service you guys provide ..........

7psi (at the moment) , 297rwkw and bucket loads of torque out of a stock LS1............ WTF.............. how long will my stock A4 tranny stand it? :driving:

P.S. - Really nice to meet you tonight Wonky  thanks for the advice and love your ute mate!! Hope to catch up again some time.

JUST DO IT!!!!!

Haha nice, the maloo actually doesn't have a (Jesus ) handle and everyone I take for a ride instinctively grab air at the top of the passenger window when I take off, so funny. It's ends up being a brace position holding the bolster of the seat and door handle. They should supply harness seat belts with these kits ;)

I honestly can't believe the drive-abilty of this car, it just ROCKS!!! Best thing I have EVER spent money on mate............ sooooooooo worth the stress from my wife.

stress from the wife i just told mine that with the improved fuel economy after i put my wp190 on that it would pay for itself after 1000 tanks of fuel, that was the end of the discussion. lol

Hahaha yep, I copped a right flogging from mine :bash: when I first mentioned it - but my argument went something like this (after she put the kitchen knife down.....):

"But sweetie, If I stroke the engine or even get a cam or head upgrade, that's wasted money and the car will use much more fuel and be a beast to drive.... at least with this 'supercharger', it's simply bolted on. If we ever sell the car, I can take it off and sell it separately..... or put it straight on the next car...... and you will still be able to drive it, as it will drive the same as it does today......"

My last V8 was a Stroked VT GTS and she hated it........ it was waaaay too "tuff" and hard to drive (scared the willies out of her)

Well, somehow it worked for me.

Hope you can work your way around her, as I LUUUUUUUUVE mine!

You'll be doing well to get anyone to put up a price for work they get done, especially a sponsor.

didn't think i'd get the exact price, just somewhere near it or a range, but i'll revise the question.

are we talking more than $15k? just planning for future mods. got a quote for intake/exhaust/cam, but if a supercharger would be anywhere near the price i'd rather charge it :)

The blower kit itself is ~10k with most of the parts included. You would do a fuel pump, map sensor too plus valve springs as a minimum. There is 11k straight up. The rest is labour and consumables so yeah 15k is what I would say is normal for a shop.

I just got my car back last monday fitted with the following, 2.9 whipple supercharger, ASE twin pump fuel system, upgraded the A6 to handle the power 400-450rwkw and a few little extras.
I didn't get any change out of 20k and it was all worth it.
