I have done a couple of these now, very easy, looks exactly like a genuine original key but without a Holden logo on the back, you can also buy with chev logos and other colours and designs but I like the old original look.
I am wrapped with mine, cheap, looks great, easy to do and works spot on.
You can buy them on ebay for under $8.00 each including postage.

(I tried some of those replacement silicone buttons a while ago and found them rubbish as they did not fit in very well, fell out all the time and did not look or work correctly.)

You just take the guts out ofr your old key and replace in the new shell, they say you don't need to glue as it all snaps and clicks together quite well but I have glued mine together just to be certain.

As I said above they look and work exactly like a genuine brand new key but do not have a Holden logo.;)

Allot of the time it seems they are glued togeather but you never know. They are sometime very hard to open and you need a flat head screwdriver to open them.

See the link below how to change them over. I dont sell them but look for the blank back ones or the keyfactory ones or of course the genuine ones too. The chev ones ebay wont let people sell them anymore. I had those logos lying around so not sure where to get them. There is special screws that are the same as the commodore ones except 8mm long that work better that the stock one. .

The video is pretty long winded but if people get stuck it is there if needed.

The Chev logo ones were still available this afternoon if you use SEARCH "Commodore Key Shells" on ebay.
I do not sell them either, I am not involved with selling them, I just saw some, thought they were cheap, tried them and thought other Forum members might be interested.

I had one glued together, I just was carefull with a big screwdriver and It was not a problem.
I reckon the factory keys are sort of plastic welded together anyway, I don't think you should have too much trouble getting it open mate.
