VE series 1 front lip/Sports Armour

Hi all,
wife put a scratch on my SSV and was hoping cover it with Sports armour. Car is a series 1. Got quoted the usual $1000 to re-paint the front bar.. My question is to those that already have the lip is how much is the gap between the plastic lip to the top of the bar? I just hope it will cover the whole mark. I can pick these up from Holden for around $240. Takes around 30 min to fit and Holden quoted $180 to fit LOL....

Wow a $1000 to paint a front bar thats a bit over the top I've never paid more then $400 or $500

Yeah I know and that was 2 different shops. It seems everything is a grand to me...

Maybe try a different suburb, and ask them if they will do a cash job without an invoice. A job like this done for people "in the trade" for cash should be no more than $400, bit more obviously if they don't personally know you.
