Hi there all,

I am looking at getting another full system for my caprice..

I have been doing quite abit of research with extractors and have noticed that HM have got a 1 3/4 & 1 7/8 range available now, and they are very competitive pricing..

So i am just wondering if any has any experience with either extractor? and if they have any pictures and if there is good ground clearance...

Cheers,
James.

We use them almost exclusively.

Plenty of ground clearance and you'll be hard pressed to find a better product.

Dunno how you will go with 1 7/8ths with the vario power steering on a Caprice?
How many times have you changed over your full exhaust system now James :stick:

Cool, I know they have some problems with some of the vario power steering systems with some bigger 4 into 1's, I was just not sure with the new HM ones. ;)

Well HM was meant to send me a prototype set so I could say with certainty that they do. That fell through as they failed to get in touch with me. But I haven't heard that they don't fit and they've been out for a while now.

Luis, how do the 1 7/8's go with the variable rack? Have you fitted any 1 7/8's with a variable rack?

Hey James ,

Not too sure re. 1 7/8ths & variable rack , I'll find out for you.....you going forced induction?

Ground clearance is probably the best of the lot :)

$1100 form HM themselves..

IF hpc coating is wanted around $200-250..

Luis, not forced induction but a big cam/heads.. i really want it for the better note that i will get from the 1 7/8's..

I would love to hear the difference in note from the different size extractors, if it even exists.

Is there any performance gains between the 2?
