Just wondering how people are wiring up an extra external fuel pump for their surge tank setups?

Can you just piggy backing the trigger wires from the normal fuel pump and add a new fused power wire direct from the battery thru the relay then to the pump? unsure of what gauge wire to run here. i found a chart which suggests 10awg. I'm also wanting to utilize the spare relay and fuse holders in the factory location just to keep it all neat.

The pump in question is a Bosch 044 and from what I've found on their website it draws 15.5 amps max which is kind of annoying because the fuse's are either 15 or 20 amp. the relay should be ok at 16 amp.

Yes you can just piggy back off the factory trigger
you need to use a bigger fuse 20amp will be fine , fuses are always bigger than what the circuit draws anyway
and wire size will depend on how far the run is id go 6mm wire 4 is only rated to 15 amp
