Hey guys have a vt II SS which has developed a very noticeable ticking (lifter noise) prior to the noise starting I had a faulty knock sensor, I replaced both sensors and while apart I fitted some larger injectors (I'm planning a cam change very soon) I also fitted a set of 1:9:1 high ratio rockers, approx two weeks later and the car has developed a very noticeable lifter type noise always there hot/cold slightly louder when warm it's running rough at idle and engine light on, possible broken valve spring maybe? Thoughts?

I agree check your rocker bolts and make sure all are torqued down to spec, especially now the motor has been through a few heat cycles since rocker install.

You fitted 1.9 rockers on standard springs....
Going to a higher ratio increases valve lift I wouldn't be surpirsed if the springs have been coil binding and has broken a spring especially on a VT.

hey guys thought i'd update the post, pulled the rocker covers off around a month ago and found three bent push rods!!! cylinder 3 had one and cylinder 4 had two, have fitted a set of comp hardened pushrods and its booked in for a tune in a fortnight, car has pacemaker 4 into 1's into a twin x force stainless exhaust, vy ss manifold with bigger injectors, starr 90mm throttle body, 1:9:1 ratio rockers, over the radiator intake and a 25% underdrive pulley kit and a 3:9 diff, hopefully i can get around 230rwkw.... if not it'll be getting a head a cam package in the next 6 months
