Hey Guys,

Im in the market for a new car, originally I was going to look at Calais V's but the WM Caprice 6.0 caught my eye. Only thing is though I have read a few horror stories about the WM Caprices. Apparently they have had major problems with the electrical system? Mainly the 06-07 models. Also I have read that the auto's can be a little indecisive.

I was all set to get one until I was doing some research and read about some horror stories that people have had. I understand that with new models there are bound to be some cars that have major problems while some have nothing.

Any info would be great.

Cheers, Mark

I know someone with a 2007 build Caprice he bought with (from memory) just under 70,000km on it. It's now done getting on for twice that and he absolutely loves it!! :yup: He's had a few mods eg full exhaust, OTR, tune, suspension etc and the other week it ran 13.3 at Heathcote. The early A6s in particular were indecisive and often flared badly on 2-3 changes but his has an A6 tune and according to him is now spot on.

Cheers Wonky, yeah Ive heard that a good tune and recalibration is all that the A6 needs. Ill see how I go, haven't made my mind up yet, tossing up between a few models (Calais V, SSV, FG XR6T, VZ SS 6.0) but I'm loving the Caprice, as long as all the electrical bugs have been ironed out.
