im thinking about getting some extra gauges and really like the electronic meter style gauges like in the torque app (for those of you with android/iphones)
all the gauges on the autometer site seem to either be a physical needle or digital number readout. does anyone make gauges that use a digital meter like in torque?
in the pic below, the top left and bottom right gauges use the FULL digital dial/meter. would probably prefer the gauges in the HALF meter style as well like the torque app provides

im also tossing up between the following gauges to compliment the water/coolant temp (in the dash) and oil pressure / voltage gauges in the binnacle:
A/F ratio
intake air temp
engine oil temp
exhaust temp
transmission temp
im thinking engine/exhaust/trans temp gauges will be the most beneficial seeing as though i have an auto and these 3 readings would be ones that can say "hey its getting hot you better take it easy" as opposed to the A/F ratio would should already be set to be safe from the tune and the intake air temp which would really just explain lower than avg performance as opposed to something is about to go bang
any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated

exhaust temp is really only needed on a boosted car, you won't be needin that readout on a NA car.
you'd also need to find a place for 5 more gauges if you go for them all, which IMO will look ricey.
however if you really want to monitor your engine, a fuel pressure gauge wouldn't go astray

Yeh, I'm only looking at 3 because I'm thinking of getting an alpine head unit with Bluetooth and ipod connectivity and I have a single din tray that holds 3 gauges to fill in the open space

in that case, if it were me... i'd go with A/F (with a windband o2 sensor), engine oil temp and a tranny temp gauge.
if you can muster the pennies together then i'd get gauges that offer a warning chime/flashing ability as with gauges that low and out of your sight line they'd be difficult to check. even a peak/hold feature would be advantageous.
i've always been partial to the prosport evo series gauges because i reckon they look trick as, however they don't have the warning chime or peak/hold. That's because i mount mine up on the dash, and i'm a sucker for pretty lights.. :P i know the prosport premium gauges offer the warning, but that's where my knowledge runs out on gauges.
here's a link http://prosportgauges.com/
i've used these and i find them pretty good, easy to wire up too and don't need a controller for them.

doesnt seem to be a huge range though, like transmission temp, and celcius...
most pages i looked at had 8 or 9 gauges and mostly in F

Autometer also have some decent gauges, or you can go the japanese brands but you'll pay a premium.
