Wheel Opinion

[HSV2BE]

Hi Guys, I recently purchased some HSV pentagons for my ve ss, i could only get them with a yellow machined face. My original plan was for full gloss black and am now deciding wether to send them to be painted full gloss black. I was just after some opinions, as I am unsure of the yellow. I also have hsv centre caps on the way.

Hi mate, I'm not sure on the suspension. They are just king springs possibly super lows. I will most likely get the wheels painted, they needed to come to the wheel shop first anyway. I just thought i'd throw them on for a week and might save myself some money if i liked them. My guts telling me paint them.

Its different you dont need to be the same as everyone else. If you like it keep it, one thing i would do though is tie it in with the car a bit more if possible. eg some more yellow somewhere

I didn't like the picture of the wheel close up, but the second photo of the whole package isn't to bad..........but long term I would go gun metal or matte black.

Matte black would look shit hot against the silver..

I cant say im too fond of the yellow however i reckon leave it black where it is already and black and turn the yellow area into just being polished, would look an absolute treat i reckon, i was going to do that with my wheels im going to fit but decided to go an all over shadow chrome. If your happy though mate, thats all that matters :)

Don't worry about painting them black (even though it would look shit hot)

Is the face of the spokes (yellow section) anodised or painted ?

Sand the yellow off with some fine wet/dry paper FTW ;)

sweet car - although I think straight black would be best, or perhaps a silver lining instead of yellow

As per madredss, I love those matte black VE GTS rims, they would look awesome

I would go for replacing the yellow with a silver/machined finish. Personally I would paint the calipers black to match up but that's just me.
