Does anyone know what front bar would be lighter, a glass bar or a standard plastic front or rear bar
If someone knows I would love to know the answer
Thanks

I would assume plastic being the lighter of the two, fiberglass is pretty dense in weight..

Having worked with fibreglass in the surfboard industry I would say plastic would be lighter but in a bumper bar the difference would only be a couple of kilos at most.
A decent sub would probably weigh more than the difference.
Why do you need to know?

Its for a race car and trying to lose weight but also need a bit of extra ducting so trying to weigh up the options....
Thanks for the replies

If you want to add ducts etc and still have a good looking bumper then go for fibreglass because at least you will be able to mould in your openings where as the plastic bumper you'll have to bolt or pop rivet the ducts to the bumper
