Firstly, subject made me giggle! :P

Secondly, take the seat out, should be much easier to work on then. Worth the effort.

Can you jimmy it off with a flat head?

Make sure you take abs fuse out before removing seat.

the knob (hehe) is held on with one of those clips (like the ones that hold the window winders on on older cars, possibly called a U clip...) you can sometimes get them off with a rag behind it and pull side to side till it grabs the lugs to unhook it,.

ABS or AIR BAG Fuse?????
I would just disconnect the battery instead,
if you accidentally turn on the ignition with the seat unplugged the SRS (AIR BAG) light will come on
and stay on untill you get a Holden dealer or someone else with genuine a Tech2 to turn it off. :bawl:
I have removed them without taking the seat out before,
IMHO you do not need to remove the seat, just need some gentle leverage. ;)

I thought you meant that, hey I often say SRS or ABS the wrong way,
it's an easy trap to fall into,
I just thought it was worth clearing up for the OP. ;)
