VE/E3 HSV GTS towbar

Guys, is the towbar on a VE easily removed? Sorry for my ignorance but how is it fixed?

Short answer ... easily removed but not without leaving a scar.

On a GTS it goes through the rear bar, so you'll have a hole in the bar ... or you'll be looking at a new rear bumper.

I have a pic of ours on my phone, I can post it up if you want.

Thanks mate. The car Im looking at has one but I dont really need one. I have a trailer and we have a towbar on the other car.

I guess thre reason I'm asking is is it something that is easily removed and easily refitted. Perhaps an idea of a removable cover for the hole as well.

I've got a mate with a VE Clubby that has a towbar. Basically as NickS said.

You can remove the 'Tongue' component which leaves the 'square' hole slightly protruding from the rear bar (still looks good), but there is no cover as such that will make it appear flush. Otherwise yep, its a new rear bar.
