Does anyone know what the Rim Load rating is of VZ SS Thunder RIM's is, I know the Crewman Thunder Rims are 17 x 8 and are load rated but really want to upgrade to a 18 x 8.
Cheers

Just upgrade to 18" wheels, why do you need to no the load rating?

As I have a Crewman X8, I need a min 730kg load rated rim. Yes I can go and get CSA or ROH rims that are load rated but I like the VZ 18 x 8 rims and if they are not load rated, then I will probably go the 17 x 8 Thunder rims.
The tyre choice is not that great in a 225 or even a 235 wide but once you get to a 245 then you have alot more choice in the tyre especially with the load rating of the tyre, the higher the load rating the stiffer the side wall. The Coopers I have have a really sloppy side wall and I hate them, I want to go above a 100 in a tyre load rating and need either a 17 x 8 or 18 x 8, the 18's have more choice.

I have 18x8 thunder/monaro wheels but I'm unsure of the load rating. Can the crewman carry that much more weight than the ute? Doesn't seem right to me due to the size variations.

The crewman tow rating is 2500kg + roughly 500kg in the back, however Holden used the same rims on different cars and some had a higher amd lower rating. VE 19inch rims the load rating is 690kg, HSV Avalanche rims are 820kg(not confirmed), if I could get some Avalanche Rims no problems.
There should be a code inside the the rim if you could be bothered too have a look at your spare.
Otherwise I will start annoying Holden, dont like my chances there !!!

I have managed to get the codes of a Thunder Rim but dont make much sense, anyone got a clue if these shed any light as to its load rating, I dont think they do.

both in melbourne
there are a heap of 19 inch too , but i'd stick with 17's n your case ,
as there's more local choice and a better variety of tread .
