Good to see some old fashioned carnage at Phillip Island instead of the usual procession.
Just glad no-one was seriously hurt
Motor racing is not the same without some push and shove,pity it such an expensive sport

And...... that's twice this year that they let the race finish under green flags with damaged cars just off track .:bravo:

However it was stopped for the birds (guinea fowl?) again.

Love my V8 Supercars.....didn't like the Davison/Whincup "incident"......no-one's fault...just spoiled a good race.
And yeah....the Ducks...or whatever they were.....what d'ya do about 'em?

Good to see a bit of a shake up to make it interesting - always liked Davo but he wasn't getting the opportunities at Holden so good luck to him at the other mob.
Tander is a good steerer but a little too arrogant for me.

Bloody excellent race weekend indeed.
I guess that is why the V8 circus has signed a 5 year deal to go to the new circuit in Austin Texas from next year.

For those that might think there was a let off for Whincup with the wheelspin thing while on the jacks after his pit stop - V8 Xtra has just cleared it up.

Stewards apparently had looked at the camera footage and seen that the air jack hose connector was removed and car was in the process of lowering before the wheelspin happened.

Good thing stewards chose to look at it post race.

Promised someone I would find out the question :

Why did all the teams remove the igniters from the exhaust of the V8s ?

Was it because the shooting flames effect became a bit old and stale ?

Or was it because the Sucrogen E85 doesn't flare the same as PULP ?
(E85 was introduced about the same time as flames disappeared)

Pretty sure the flame is still there but it's a clear flame due to the E85.
Could be wrong though

The flames are still there just not as much as they used to. Look up some clips from this year on youtube, they are still popping flames just not as much.
