Hi guys
After doing suspension, brakes, rotors I'm now looking to freshen up the interior, although I don't have a clear picture on what I want to do.
The ideas I have floating around so far are:
1. Fit some dark coloured suede to the pillars, plastic on doors etc
2. HSV triple guages and trim to suit
3. Silver dash strip like on the Calais http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Commodore-Calais-VE-Interior-Dash-Trim-Satin-Silver-Holden-4blok-genuine-/160808290072?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2570ebc718#ht_3461wt_953
4. Interior plastics with silver highlights ie cup holder etc, although I can't seem to find any for sale or part numbers
5. Piano black parts around window controls as above
I would love to hear any ideas you have or part numbers etc
This is my current interior http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v315/evil_ss/bf35e60b.jpg

I looked at the S2 iq system but I was quoted $2400 installed with no GPS so it isn't worth the outlay. Piano black plastic would be nice, I just need some part numbers or someone to sell on eBay. From what I have read the E3 cluster is a pain to program and the E1 needs to be basically brand new or something along those lines.

They say style never dates.
They say that in a brain storming session, no idea is a bad idea.
Whilst the interior you have obviously is beautiful, as you are now finding, sometimes you have to improve on Holden's perfection.
With that in mind, I present the "VK". A modern rendition of a long forgotten approach.

I just replaced the synthetic gear knob boot with a leather item with orange stitching. What are your guys thoughts on macrosuede on the plastic trim surrounding the gear stick?

I've been persuading ( ) myself to cover the lower half of the dash (under the strip on the dash) and the pillars in some form of suede. I'm at the point where I'm bored with my car atm and need to change things. Anyway, I've seen it done on earlier commodores and it looked alright. If you do it, be sure to put pics up.

Those Calais strips won't fit an SS or with the HSV pod. You would need to find 2 strips the same length as your current ones.
Have a look at the coloured strips ( including piano black, and various carbon fibre styles) available through places like Dash Designs. I have just ordered some in one of the carbon colours and will post pics when done.
Stitched leather arm rest, gear boot and a HSV steering wheel would add nice high lights.

Me too, should have them both installed by the end of the month. I went the Calais one though so that I ditched the red and piano black.
Good work with the suede, how did you glue it down?
