Can somebody advise me a web site or other form of information on any sort of motorsport events around the country. I live in Canberra and as there is nothing in the way of car races or shows here I need some information if you can help. There must be something out there that I can read.

Search for speedcafe on Google. That's a pretty good website that pretty much covers everything.

Wakefield Park has it's own website with an events calendar for months ahead that shows what they have coming up in the way of race and speed off the street day's

I have joined the wrx club here in melb as they run good track days, I take my ss along and they are quite accommodating.. I know there is a nsw wrx club, so maybe check out there site or google them. Maybe look to see if there is a HSV owners club in nsw also, they may do track days also.
If your going to race hard, like 110%, get a engine oil cooler or you may cook your motor in a matter of laps... I saw 140' water temps after 3 laps on a cool day around winton.

correct... or look at the CAMS site
it lists all motorsport events by state...from V8 Supercars to club motorkhanas to targas

btw watch out for my mate Adam (also a Vic WRX member)..you won't see which way his VL went :)

This is true. But I think he is more after a racing events than shows like the nats
